Nasal Polyps

Overview

Common in asthma, allergies, and chronic sinusitis. Large polyps can obstruct nasal airflow and reduce smell.

Causes

  • Chronic rhinosinusitis

  • Cystic fibrosis (in children)

Symptoms

  • Blocked nose, breathing difficulty
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Runny nose, postnasal drip

  • Treatment:

Caution
